Special Amtryke will be presented to 11-year old Savanna McDade of Columbus (with her mother Tonya McDade). Current Club Presidents met the Governor at 5:45PM and received her official service project pin. Tom Harvey, Charlene Lossing and Roger Lossing were awarded Centennial Awards for their contributions and personal donations to the Eliminate Project, commemorating Kiwanis' 100th Anniversary in 2015. Lt. Gov. Key Club Division 10E Sam Malik and Westervile Kiwanis Immediate Past President John O'Connor were awarded Governor's Citations for their service to the division. Contact Lt. Gov. Saturday, Feb 13, 2016 the Granville Kiwanis Pancake Day benefiting Louis Wood from 7am-2pm at St. Edwards the Confessor Church, 785 Newark-Granville Rd Granville. Cost: $6 adults, $4 for children age 5-14yrs. Collecting also "Bags of Love" suitcases and backpacks for children in need.

"Louis Wood is a Granville High School sophomore and member of the soccer team. He was in a car crash in September that caused severe brain damage and hindered use of his right side. Since the accident, Wood has had the support of his family and close friends as he works to recuperate. 

'The response from the community has just been incredible,' Lou's father Adrian Wood said. 'The insurance doesn't always cover what we need for his therapy, so we've been relying on the people and fundraisers.'"

  • Thurs. Aug. 25 from 6-8p.m.  This FREE clown extravaganza is for kids and kids at heart! "The Big Show" includes 40 professional clowns performing 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Roosevelt Building Gymnasium, 621 Mount Vernon Road. Come at 6 p.m. to meet and greet real-life policemen, firemen, a queen and other local celebrities including Ohio Kiwanis Governor Amy Zimmerman! At 6:30 p.m., clowns will mix and mingle with kids. The show kicks off at 7 p.m. Clowns will perform an opening production number to give kids a chance to sing and dance with them. The event is sponsored by Luikart Heating and Cooling and Newark Kiwanis. FREE entertainment for all ages! 
  • Tuesday, Sept. 6 from 5-6p.m. at Granville Elementary School gym. The Charter Party for the new Granville Elementary School K-Kids service club, led by faculty advisor Dr. Jessica Wilson, a 2nd grade teacher and Granville Kiwanis member. Honored guests will include Mayor Melissa Hartfield.

  • On Monday, Novermber 7 at the Granville Inn at 6:15 PM in the Carriage Room the club honored local WWII veterans during its annual Veteran's Day Program with guest speaker Don Jakeway, an honored WWII veteran from Johnstown and past President of the Johnstown Kiwanis Club. The club also recognized the finalists of the 4th of July Writing contest titled "We the People" and awarded two First Place awards and an honorable mention. The results were posted in the Granville Sentinel.
  • Key Leader weekend workshop on November 11-13, 2016. This Kiwanis International sponsored program for area high school age students including members of Key Club is located at Recreation Unlimited in Ashley, Ohio and scholarships are available from area Kiwanis Clubs.

  • Tuesday April 11, 2017 at 5:45-7PM monthly Aktion Club meeting at ES Weiant. Served hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, baked beans and chips. Discussed upcoming Strawberry Festival table in Neawrk in June to recruit more menbers. Sorted and delivered 550 Easter cards made for Seniors by the club and help from Kiwanis volunteers and the Granville Inn. Also discussed potential speakers (weather forecasters) and fudnraisers (potted flower sale for mother's day with help from KKids and Builder's club). Next meeting on Tues May 9 at 5:45pm at ES Weiant.
  • Tuesday April 11, 2017 at 6:30PM Division 10 Council Meeting 3 at Newark Doubletree. $15 dinner. 14 attended. Interclub for Granville. Program by Columbus non-profit "Kid Again" helping children with terminal and serious illness to be a Kid Again and enjoy fun recreational experiences with their family, all at no cost. A revised budget was presented. Changes to the proposed changes to the bylaws were presented from the Past LTG committe, discussed and asked to be formally written and presented at next meeting after discussion.
  • Monday, April 18 Meeting at the Granville Inn after Easter with chocolate and candy centerpieces. nice steak dinner. $10. Program by Bjorn Ludwig about his eagle scout project supporting Literacy bringing new books to 100 families with very young children. He thanked the club for its $500 donation, help promoting his project and support of fryers at his Pancake Breakfast fundriaser at St Edwards Church in early February. He raised $5,000 to buy new books, packaged and delivered them with the help of his fellow scouts. His presentation was very professional and informative. Thank you Bjorn!

  • Saturday April 29, 2017 the Granville Kiwanis team Gnomes Know placed 2nd of 13 teams in the New Albany Kiwanis Club's 4th Annual Trivia Night Fundraiser. they team of 10 won $200 and the New Albany Club riased funds for their little reading library service projects and youth service leadership clubs such as Key Club and Builder's Club.
